This coming November 4th the city of Gainesville will hold a Special Election. The only item on the ballot will be a referendum that asks whether you want to return the governance of GRU back to local control. This presentation will give the history and background of how we got to where we are today with the Governor DeSantis appointed Authority board and why we need to repeat this referendum that passed in 2024 with a super majority of support of Gainesville voters.
