Robert “Hutch” Hutchinson will weave together several tales about how Alachua County became the place “Where Nature and Culture Meet”, providing insight into the people and events that have forever shaped the landscape of our community.
Robert “Hutch” Hutchinson served as an Alachua County Commissioner for twelve years where he was involved in land conservation, comprehensive planning, mental health and homelessness, racial justice, animal welfare, public health, and other issues. Hutch’s community involvement has included directing Alachua Conservation Trust and the Gainesville Downtown Redevelopment Agency, and he has worked for the Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville Regional Utilities, The Florida Nature Conservancy, Santa Fe College, and served on a dozen boards of non-profit agencies.
This year our meetings will resume being in person (with lunch). Our forums are now held at the Aloft Hotel, 3743 Hull Road (behind the Hilton UF Conference Center). Please aim to arrive at 11:30 for lunch. The talk itself is scheduled to begin at noon.
Please register by MONDAY, Dec 5th.
