Dear Forum members,
The future of the Florida Free Speech Forum depends on the course of the pandemic. But it is clear now that we must suspend the luncheon meetings at the Wyndham.
As an alternative, we will attempt to use the internet to bring members together, virtually, to hear speakers and ask questions. We are looking at ZOOM at present and will contact you with instructions when our way is clear.
The speaker for our April meeting is this year’s winner of the reporting award from the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information. We have not heard from their director, Frank Lo Monte, about their evolving plans, but if we can bring the winner’s address to you on ZOOM, we will do so.
We will miss seeing and chatting with you at our luncheons. But we are mindful that a change in the forum process may enable including a more diverse audience, broader demographic, new voices, and new points of view.
Stay tuned.
